Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his first championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid season, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first title since the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after March of 2023.
The win also signifies he has won 21 championships at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching play style and frequent outbursts on court had prompted observers to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
However the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and play assertively, reinforced by an better service.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five games to take the lead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet saved 4 early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
